What you'll have to do is put the router in fail-safe mode which allows you to telnet into the router. You can find those instructions here: http://www.broadband-hamnet.org/documentation/71-using-safe-mode-to-reset-a-forgotten-password.html. Instead of typing setpasswd abc, type cat /etc/httpd.conf to see your old password. You can then exit, reboot the node and type in the password you just recovered.
As to manually setting your own IP Address and Netmask, you'll need to right click on the start menu, go to Control Panel, click on Network and Internet, click on View Network Status and Tasks, Edit Adapter Settings (on the left), right click your network adapter and go to properties, highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties. Fill in the information you need and "Ok" your way back out of everything.
I hope this helps you out! |
